Terms of service
Last updated 3 October 2026. These terms apply when a business creates or uses a Trade Sidekick account.
Agreement and eligibility
These terms form an agreement between Forgebridge Software Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17472078, with its registered office at 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA, trading as Trade Sidekick ("Trade Sidekick", "we", "us"), and the business using the service. Trade Sidekick is provided for business use, not personal or household use. By creating an account or using the service, you confirm that you are at least 18, can enter into a contract, and have authority to accept these terms for the business named on the account. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Trade Sidekick is subscription software for managing customers, enquiries, quotes, jobs, bookings, invoices, payments, documents and related business administration. It is an administrative tool, not legal, tax, accounting, financial, safety or professional trade advice. You remain responsible for your work, pricing, tax treatment, records, customer communications and compliance obligations.
Accounts and authorised users
One subscription covers one business. You must give accurate account information, protect your sign-in details and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. The business owner controls invitations and roles and is responsible for authorised users' activity. Accounts and access must not be sold, shared outside the subscribed business or used to avoid plan limits.
Free trial
New accounts get a 14-day trial with one user and 500 MB of document storage. One trial is available per account. Creating extra accounts to evade trial limits is prohibited and may result in closure. No telephone, text messaging or voicemail services are included in a trial. The trial does not renew or charge you automatically; the business owner must complete checkout to start a paid subscription.
Plans and payment
Monthly UK prices are Starter £29, Pro £69 and Business £199. Monthly US prices are Starter $39, Pro $89 and Business $249. Pro and Business are made available by country only after the relevant supervised phone-service pilot has passed. Prices are per business. Forgebridge Software Ltd is currently not registered for UK VAT and does not add UK VAT to its subscription prices. If that changes, any VAT and the total payable will be shown before checkout. Applicable US state and local sales taxes, where required, are shown before payment; UK VAT registration status does not determine US sales-tax obligations. Stripe processes card payments and its checkout shows the currency, recurring total and applicable tax before you confirm. Additional seats and automatic usage overage charges are not sold at launch.
A paid subscription starts when checkout succeeds and renews automatically each month until cancelled. The business owner can stop renewal in the app at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. See the refund and cancellation policy for full details.
If a payment fails or remains unpaid, we may retry it, restrict paid features or suspend write access after any stated grace period. You remain responsible for charges properly incurred before cancellation.
Plans, AI and telecom features
Features and allowances vary by plan and are shown before checkout. Sidekick AI produces suggestions and drafts that may be incomplete or inaccurate; you must review them before relying on or sending them. Business telephone numbers, voicemail and text messaging are available only where Trade Sidekick has explicitly activated live telecom for an eligible paid account. A displayed allowance alone does not prove activation, and WhatsApp is not included at launch.
AI receptionist and call recording
You must authorise call handling for your business and have the rights to any private voice you supply. Before enabling the receptionist, you are responsible for confirming the recording, transcription and AI disclosure requirements that apply to your business and callers, providing the required notices and obtaining any required consent. Laws may differ between states and between the locations of participants. The assistant's standard recording announcement does not guarantee that every applicable requirement is met. Do not enable recorded calls where the required notice or consent cannot be obtained. Review enquiry details and any uncertain information before relying on them. The receptionist collects requests and does not confirm a booking or send messages for you.
Your content and data
You keep ownership of the records, text and files your business enters. You give Trade Sidekick a limited permission to host, copy, process and display that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service and comply with law. You confirm that your business has the rights and lawful basis needed to upload and use that content. We do not sell it. The business data-processing terms below form part of this agreement for personal information we handle on your business's behalf. See the privacy policy for information about our separate account, billing and security processing.
Business data-processing terms
These terms apply where your business is the controller and Forgebridge Software Ltd is its processor under UK data protection law. They do not remove either party's own legal responsibilities. They take precedence over other terms where needed to meet the mandatory requirements of a controller-processor contract.
Scope, duration and instructions
We process business records to host, organise, retrieve and secure your workspace, provide the features you enable, and assist with authorised support requests. Processing continues while we provide these services or retain information under your documented instructions. Cancelling renewal alone does not delete the workspace. The information may include names, contact details, job addresses, bookings, quotes, invoices, messages, documents, usage records, and, when enabled, call audio, transcripts, summaries and authorised voice samples. The people concerned may be your customers, prospective customers, callers, staff, contractors and other contacts in your records.
Your account settings, authorised use of the app and verified written support requests are your documented instructions. We process this information only on those instructions, including instructions about international transfers, unless UK law requires otherwise. If legally permitted, we will tell you about that requirement before processing. We will tell you promptly if we believe an instruction infringes applicable data protection law. Your business remains responsible for lawful collection, notices, accuracy, access permissions and the instructions it gives us. Do not upload special-category or criminal-offence information unless we have agreed suitable arrangements for it in writing.
Confidentiality and security
We ensure that people authorised to process business personal information are subject to confidentiality obligations. We implement technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risks, including account authentication, business access controls, private file storage, time-limited file links, encrypted connections and access or activity records. We assess and maintain these safeguards as the service changes.
Service providers acting as sub-processors
You give general written authorisation for the providers identified in the privacy policy to process business records for the relevant enabled features: Lovable Cloud and Supabase for hosting and storage; OpenAI for Sidekick and receptionist responses or enquiry extraction; Twilio for numbers, calls and messaging; Vapi for receptionist calls; Deepgram for speech transcription; and the selected voice provider, including ElevenLabs when its voice service is used. Stripe's processing of our subscription payments and Google sign-in are described separately in the privacy policy.
Before adding or replacing a sub-processor, we give reasonable advance notice through the app or the account contact and an opportunity to object on reasonable data protection grounds. We work with you to address an objection; if no suitable arrangement is available, you may stop the affected feature or end the affected service. We require sub-processors to have written obligations offering equivalent protection to these data-processing terms and remain responsible to you for their performance of those obligations.
Rights requests, incidents and compliance assistance
Taking account of the processing and information available to us, we assist your business with appropriate measures to respond to access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction and objection requests. Where a request relates to your business records, we refer it to you unless the law requires us to respond directly. We notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting those records and provide available information and updates to support your investigation and any required notifications.
We also provide reasonable assistance with security obligations, data protection impact assessments and consultation with the regulator where required. Contact tradesidekicksupport@gmail.com for these requests. Optional additional services may be separately agreed; this does not limit assistance we are legally required to provide.
Return, deletion and ending processing
When the processing service ends, we return or delete business personal information at your choice and delete remaining copies unless law requires retention. If you want a copy, request it through support before confirming account deletion; the app does not currently provide a complete self-service workspace export. Verified account deletion requests include provider cleanup. Active calls, unresolved provider operations or failed cleanup can delay completion, and we retain identifiers needed to retry rather than report an incomplete deletion as finished. Any information that must lawfully remain is restricted to the required purpose and retention period.
Information, audits and international transfers
We make available information needed to demonstrate compliance with these processing obligations and allow and contribute to reasonable audits and inspections by your business or an appointed independent auditor. Practical arrangements may protect other customers' data, security and confidentiality, but do not prevent an audit required by law. International processing must follow your documented instructions and the applicable UK transfer requirements, using adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards where required. You can ask us for the relevant provider and transfer information through support.
Acceptable use
You must not use Trade Sidekick unlawfully; infringe another person's rights; send spam or unlawful communications; upload malicious, deceptive or harmful material; interfere with the service; bypass security or plan limits; reverse engineer protected parts of the service; access another business's records; or use the service in a way that could harm Trade Sidekick, its providers or other users.
Our intellectual property
Trade Sidekick and its software, design, branding and documentation belong to Forgebridge Software Ltd or its licensors. While your account is permitted to use the service, we grant your business a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. No other rights are transferred.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, correct faults and change or discontinue features. Where a material change would significantly reduce a paid service, we will give reasonable notice where practical. Events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.
Suspension and ending the agreement
You can cancel renewal at any time. We may restrict or suspend access where charges are unpaid, these terms are materially breached, use threatens security or other users, or the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will explain the reason and give you a chance to fix the issue. We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach.
At the end of a paid period, retained core records remain available to view in the account, but creating records and uploading files may be disabled. Self-service export is not currently available. You may request deletion, subject to information we must keep for legal, accounting, security or dispute purposes. The privacy policy explains retention in more detail.
Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without implied warranties and Trade Sidekick is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated savings or data arising from your use of the service. Forgebridge Software Ltd's total liability arising from the service or these terms is limited to the subscription fees your business paid to Trade Sidekick in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing removes any mandatory legal rights that apply to your business.
Governing law and disputes
These terms and any non-contractual dispute are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory law requires otherwise. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive authority to decide disputes, subject to any mandatory right to bring a claim elsewhere. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute promptly.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect service, security, provider or legal changes. We will update the date above and give reasonable notice of material changes. If you continue using the service after a notified change takes effect, the updated terms apply. Changes do not alter charges already paid without your agreement.
